I am rebooting my career as a software developer. I am currently seeking work as a full-stack software developer in an Agile, team-oriented, setting within a forward-looking technology company.
I also provide expert services related to legal information and to web-oriented digital technology. I have brought data-driven, mission-focused, and customer-driven management to the library environment. I’ve been very engaged with the internet and web since the early/mid 1990s and have been a critical participant and observer in many of the intervening social and technological changes. My professional functions have included leadership as an academic law librarian, most recently as the Acting Director of the Judge Ben C. Green Law Library at Case Western Reserve’s law school. I’ve also worked as a Reference Librarian and as Head of Public Services and Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School.
I’ve had overall responsibility for major administrative functions including strategic planning, oversight of multi-million dollar budgets, reorganization of staff and services, and have launched and overseen numerous new service initiatives. I have also been responsible for library online initiatives, especially web-related, and have overseen digital initiatives at both a strategic level and as a developer and designer of websites and related tools.
I’m an experienced teacher and have taught both Advanced Legal Research and a number of substantive and policy-oriented courses.
